Museum of American History

The National Museum of American History in Washington DC provides an intriguing view into American life.  It contains historical artifacts such as the following:

1. Thomas Jefferson's desk
2. Dorothy's ruby slippers (from the Wizard of Oz Movie)
3. Julia Child's kitchen (from Cambridge Massachusetts)
4. The original American flag

The National Museum of American History is located on the National Mall in Washington DC.  Admission to the museum is free or charge.  Free museum tours are also available.
