The Bureau of Engraving & Printing in Washington DC is the US government agency
responsible for producing US paper currency and other security products.
It is connected to the US Treasury Department. US coinage,
however, is produced at the US Mint.

The Bureau operates out of two locations, one of
which is in a neoclassical building in downtown Washington DC. Free tours
are available at both facilities.
Visitors can enjoy a 30 minute tour of the facility which provides an
overview of the currency producing process. The tour is free of
charge.
