Museum of the American Indian

The National Museum of the American Indian in Washington DC focuses on the life, history and arts of America's indigenous peoples.  The museum, which is part of the Smithsonian Institution, is housed in a gorgeous limestone building that was designed to convey the feeling of natural rock shaped by the forces of wind and water.

Visitors to the American Indian Museum can enjoy a wide variety of tradition food in the Mitsitam Native Food cafe.
